Hoy partirá rumbo a Moscú un nuevo vuelo para buscar la segunda dosis de la Sputnik V
This Thursday at 9 pm another plane will take off to Russia and it is estimated that on Saturday it will return to the country. The first component of the Russian vaccine is already being applied in all provinces.
According to the president of Aerolineas Argentinas, Pablo Ceriani, the flight will last approximately 40 hours and will be made up of a total of 20 people "in order to carry out the operation without technical stops."
Although everything indicated that the next trips were to be to South Korea or India, where the Russian vaccine would be produced for the Argentine market, the Government launched a travel plan to return to the Russian capital.

I keep thinking, who in their right mind would buy a car or tv made in Russia no less a vaccine?

With current shortage of vaccines it is quite evident, that first world vaccines are for the first world with a few exceptions So, the choice for the rest of the world is between Russian and Chinese vaccines.

The Soviet Union had mandatory universal vaccination program for ages, so it is not that Russia started developing vaccines yesterday.

And the Arg government had to start the vaccination right away. If they had waited until 70% of population tests positively for antibodies, it would be clear that they failed miserably.

Russia, on the other hand, needed a positive usage case from a country that is not considered a traditional sympathizer. So it started shipping the vaccine to Argentina even before satisfying the domestic demand.

By the way, they are considering to produce Sputnik V in Germany, but it's still missing European Medicines Agency approval.

....Another 138 infections were reported by the National Health Commission on Thursday – the highest single-day tally since March last year.
....The commission said 124 of the new cases were local infections, 81 of which were reported in Hebei province surrounding Beijing and 43 in northeastern Heilongjiang province. No details were given about the latest death by health authorities, except that it occurred in Hebei, where the government has placed several cities under lockdown. Authorities last week launched a mass testing drive and closed transport links, schools and shops in the Hebei's capital city Shijiazhuang – the epicentre of the latest outbreak....

So you will be taking the Sputnik Vaccination even if it's produced in Russia?
