Covid Vaccination Argentina

The "shit" vaccine:

Sinovac vaccine effective against virus variants in Brazil; efficacy rises if injection interval is more than 21 days

Turkey says China's Sinovac vaccine is 'significantly effective'

The "non-shit" vaccine:

FDA advises states to pause use of J&J Covid vaccine after rare blood-clotting issue affects 6 women, kills 1

The reality is that there are no "shit" vaccines. AstraZeneca, Sinovac, J&J, Pfizer, Moderna, Sputnick, they are all very effective in drastically reducing the need for intensive treatment and more importantly, reducing fatalities.
Just take whatever becomes available without fear. Being vaccinated with ANY of them is much better than not being vaccinated at all.

The Leloir-Conicet Institute according to local data says that 94% of people who received the first dose of Sputnik V develop antibodies.

This study measured the presence of antibodies only, not the effectiveness against a possible infection.

Running out of vaccines - people waiting... Government needs to get their shit in order - every delay to vaccinating the population means more virus spread and more restrictions on movement and a persons ability to earn an income... Government looking like clowns at the moment.

Meanwhile, Argentina appears to be negotiating with new sources of vaccines from Cuba given it has no actual vaccination plan and is running low on both supply, money and options.

While I don't doubt that Cuba is capable of some excellent achievements in the field of medicine, the recently discussed news about various vaccines currently available on the market around the world demonstrates the need to follow due process in trials and testing... desperation + popularism can breed miracle drops.

ah, i forgot about the cuban doctors. maybe they should bring them back again! or did they ever leave?

Look how good Chile is doing - second highest vaccination rate in world yet cases are going straight up... Chinese vaccine working very very well it seems

Pretty much all summer, the "Region de los Lagos", in the south of Chile with 2.5% of the population, had 20-30% of Chile's COVID cases. Locals were locked down, Santiaguinos could get holiday permits for themselves, their 4x4s, and their virus. Chile's COVID cases spiked because, stupid. And piling stupid upon stupid, Chile decided, upon a wheeze, to get Sinovac, despite the already known poor efficacy, because the pillos hadn't planned anything since mid-2020, COVID cases there are coming down because all the Santiaguinos have gone home and are now locked down. Vaccines have efficacies of 50-95%, lockdown has efficacy of 100%. That's all there is to it, end of story.
