The vaccine developed by Medicago and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), known as the "plant-based vaccine" against Covid-19, showed 71% efficacy in preventing mild and symptomatic disease, 100% efficacy in reducing hospitalizations and deaths, and 75.3% efficacy against the Delta variant of Covid. This was reported by the Canadian company, based on the results of the Phase 3 clinical trial. The randomized, double-blind study (i.e. neither the patient nor the physician knows whether the vaccine or placebo is being administered) involved 24,134 people over 18 years of age in different cities in Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada...
....This is a vaccination schedule requiring two doses (3.75 micrograms of antigen in combination with GSK's pandemic adjuvant) administered intramuscularly 21 days apart.
The vaccine must be stored at 2°C to 8°C, which allows the use of traditional vaccine supply channels and cold chain. The companies reported that "based on these results, Medicago will imminently seek regulatory approval from Health Canada as part of its ongoing submission" and remarked that this inoculant "is not yet approved by any regulatory authority."

The City of BA will adhere to the regulation that establishes the sanitary pass of the National Gov't, but will not require a sanitary pass to enter public organizations or to carry out procedures in official municipal offices, as was informed today by the Minister of Health of CABA, Fernán Quirós, in his usual weekly press conference on the epidemiological situation. This decision contrasts with that adopted by the Province of BA, where as from December 21 the "Free Pass with Vaccine" will be required to carry out procedures in all provincial offices and dependencies.

When asked about the future scope of the sanitary pass, Quirós explained: "Today in the City, the double dose condition is required for massive shows and dance clubs, with a local control mechanism, from this decision by the National Gov't we are going to accompany the national regulation so that there are no differences in the implementation". Regarding how the health pass will be controlled, Quirós explained that "the methodology and the application of the National Gov't of the app Mi Argentina" will be used and remarked that "the scope" of what is currently implemented in the territory of CABA will not be significantly changed. "None of these places require a sanitary pass," said the BA Minister of Health in reference to the City's public agencies and the procedures in state offices of the City Gov't.

On the other hand, when asked about the official call to the Plaza de Mayo this afternoon for the "Dia de la Democracia", Quirós expressed: "We must respect the popular expressions, but also the protocols in force and maintain the use of the mask. All expressions must be respected. We ask everyone to make the greatest effort, especially the organizers and the people who facilitate the arrival of persons to the Plaza".

The Gov't will implement the "pase sanitario" (health pass) effective January 1, 2022....How to obtain it...
....With the administrative decision, which will be published this Monday, December 13 and bears the signatures of the Chief of Cabinet, Juan Manzur, and the Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, the Executive Power will stipulate that effective January 1, 2022 "all persons aged 13 and older who carry out activities defined as a high epidemiological and sanitary risk must prove that they have a complete vaccination schedule against Covid-19". For these activities, the certificate must be shown "at the request of the public or private personnel appointed for its verification", according to the official resolution....also detailed that the jurisdictions "may require the accreditation of the complete scheme for additional activities depending on the epidemiological situation, the local vaccination plan and the advances in the vaccination coverage against Covid-19"....

Activities for which the health pass will be requested:
Attendance at dance halls, discotheques or similar that take place in enclosed spaces.
Attendance at "salones de fiestas" or similar that take place in enclosed spaces.
Group trips for graduates, students, retirees, or similar events.
Organized mass events of more than one thousand people that take place in open and closed spaces or outdoors.
In addition, the vaccination schedule "must have been completed at least 14 days before attending the activity or event".

How to obtain the "pase sanitario" on your cell phone. The form of accreditation will be through the "Cuidar" application, which can be downloaded free of charge from the official Android and iOS app stores. The version of the "Cuidar" app to install is 3.6, which is already available for download in a trial version and will be fully operational by January 1, 2022. The correct process to update the Cuidar app, if you already had the platform downloaded on your phone previously, is to uninstall the application and reinstall it.

What happens if the person has symptoms compatible with the disease or is reported as a positive case? If the self-diagnosis of the application shows any symptom compatible with Covid-19 or if the person is notified through the National Health Surveillance System as an active case, "the screen of the 'Cuidar' application will be blocked without allowing access to any other screen or certificate", until this condition is modified, regardless of having the complete vaccination schedule.

Those who cannot access the application, as long as they do not have symptoms compatible with the disease, may request from the competent jurisdictional authority the certificate of vaccination against Covid-19 showing the doses applied as notified by the Registro Federal de Vacunación Nominalizado (NOMIVAC).

If you received the J&J vaccine outside of Argentina, I was told at the vaccination center that Pfizer is the only vaccine Argentina has authorized as a booster for J&J. Vaccination centers in provincia simply need to request a booster based on your foreign vaccine card. The process was pretty quick. FYI.

That's very interesting, the last email I got from the provincial government of BA last Friday only mentions 1st and 2nd doses:
