Yes, flying low and fast is a critical element when avoiding surface air defenses. The Argentine navy pilots were much better at that than the air force pilots.

I have had beers with some of these Argentine Navy pilots. We might have different perspectives on the politics of the Islas Malvinas / Falklands Islands war but I have nothing but admiration for them and what they were able to accomplish.
