I do t really care as I didn't make the general term for people from the USA. I just find it funny that in Arg people are so quick to return this response if you happen to slip up and call yourself American. It's like an automatic reflex for some locals.

Clearly there is a huge prejudice against Americans in this country so they need to antagonize anything having to do with being American.

I saw one analyst on TN tonight say on current polling under every first round scenario Cristina finishes with the most votes, but then goes on to lose in the ballotaje under every scenario, bar one: the one in which Macri is the other candidate. Hopefully that fool pulls out at some point. I find it quite amusing that some commentators on Juntos-aligned media pretend that he doesn't intend to run, when it is obvious (and has been obvious for some time) that he is desperate to make a return and seek redemption from history. Bullrich is an interesting one. In the early 90's, she was interviewed for a book about the dictatorship, and claimed to have been a Montonera.
But in the early 2000's, she was asked about that directly by Mirtha Legrand, and said that, no, she had been JP, (Juventud Peronista or Peronist Youth).

In any case, she is the attack dog of the Right at this point, and the Scourge of the Mapuche.

To be clear, I do not think badly of her for it, nor for her change of heart. My own mother, may she rest in peace, was SDS though she never had anything to do with Weathermen.

The 70's were the 70's, and the popular image of what went down in that decade is far from the truth. It wasn't all tie-dyed shirts and bellbottoms and Scooby Doo in the VW microbus.
