Deadly Swine Flu paralyses Mexico City

so far if you read any of the world journals, the h1n1 flu is in 73 countries and spreading quickly but it is so far a variant that is supposed to be more mild than a regular flu. that said regular flu is not pleasant and is usually quite a bit worse than a cold and sore throat. and for people with comprimised systems there of course is more of a problem. n95 masks are available on line and probably in surgiical supply houses. washing hands and staying out of public contact, and if you are sick staying away from other people is the answer. its not a bad idea to get some fluids in cans and some food in cans in your house so if you get sick you dont have to go out and pass it along. plus you might not feel up to going out if you have any flu. n95 is a grade of mask that has a small enough particle size screen to keep in or out any flu germs. tamiflu is still considered effective. two 75 mg capsules a day for five days, and then the alternative drug is a relenza - a disk inhaler, a blister pack with four inhalation doses of 5mg per inhale. a person needs two per day, for five days. anyone with respiratory disease like asthma or other breathing problems should keep a bronchial dialator like proventil handy as this drug, Relenza, can cause not good side effects for those with breathing problems. however, flu is not good for those people either. these drugs could help one get past the flu. both drugs are prescription. this flu is not so far a cause for fear for most people in good health and with relative means to be taken care of. it seems to be quite contagious and most folks will probably get it, and get over it. however, dengue fever is a much more of a threat and much more severe than h1n1 at this time.

latest reports show almost 13,000 cases in usa which is twice the"reported" cases as in mexico. chile reports 1283. documented cases are the ones reported. i would imagine that most of the cases, especially in poorer places, dont get reported. stopping flights from mexico wont stop the flu spread in argentina. with the packed buses and subways, it will go everywhere.
