Diet: Living on beef and eggs

A great deal of what I have "learned" about the carnivore diet has been from two doctors who have been highly active on youtube in recent years. Here they are together in one of those videos.

The first person I ever heard about who was eating only beef and drinking only water is Jordan Peterson. He was doing so for reasons of personal health and I remember thinking that I was very fortunate to be able to eat a lot of different foods, including grains, nuts, seeds, legumes, bread, pasta, chocolate and ice cream and other highly processed foods containing or cooked in seed oil, as well as fruits and vegetables. I watched Jordan's videos to learn about his philosophy, not his diet.

I have not consulted a "credencialed nutricionist" about my decision to consume only meat (not just beef), eggs, butter, and full fat milk (with added heavy cream), and ricotta cheese. If it was available, I would consume full fat cottage cheese instead of the milk and the ricotta.

I seriously doubt that I could find any nutricionista in my area that would deviate far from the tradicional food pyramid. It doesn't really matter. The results I've experienced in my own body during the past six years is enough for me to continue my present regimem, which I began by completely eliminating carbs (sugars and starches) from any and all highly processed foods in 2019.

Here's what Jordan had to say about the modern diet:

credentials are meaningless in 2026 when the internet has all of humanities potential knowledge at the disposal of anybody with the ability. credentials are just nobility papers, if you need to pay a nutritionist to tell you how to eat you probably cant read much anyway. blessings

Again, opinions on YouTube and social media are not the same thing as facts. If you think they're the same, good luck to you.

Gee. I sure hope that at least some of the "opinions" expressed on YouTube are based on observable facts that provide sufficient evidence to support their assertions and that anyone capable of "critical thinking" will be able to draw reasonable conclusions based on them.

In spite of all of the videos blaming climate change on human generated CO2 admit that I relied on YouTube videos to come to the conclusion that human generated CO2 is not responsible for a significant level of climate change...

That the COVID-19 shots were never safe or effective...

That Donald Trumps did not colluded with Russia to win the 2016 Presidential election...

That Joe Biden was never in full control of his mental capacities from the time he won the 2020 Presidential election (by massive voter fraud) until just before the 2024 Presidential debate...

And that the low carb ketogenic diet is one of most researched diets when it comes to metbolic disease and is a much safer and effective option to the high carb and highly processed food Standard American Diet, regardless of the claims of the "Big Food Industry" (formerly known as the "Big Tobacco Industry').

Here's the YouTube video I'm watching at this very moment:

PS: In recent years (up to ten years ago), there have been vastly more YouTube videos that support CO2 caused climate change, that the COVID-19 shots were safe and effective, that Donald Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 Presidential election, that President Biden, who won a fair election in 2020 was "sharp as a tack" until the summer of 2024.

I wonder how many people believe that the American Institute of Health could or should be considered a source of "facts_ when it comes to nutrition.

Here is their food chart, which indicates that orange juice, canned peaches, Cherios and Lucky Charms (dry breakfast cereals) are better than eggs fried in butter or ground beef. The latter two appear at the bottom of the chart in RED (as an indication of the danger that they pose to human health).

I do not consume any hard cheese and cheddar cheese would be at the bottem of the list. The only two I will consume is ricotta and full fat cottage cheese (which I would consume daily if it was available locally.

So for those who have not read, or have no time to read the (2023) Snopes article, and instead you are waiting for someone else to create an Ai generated video for YouTube, here are some of the words that explain:

We found, in short, that there is not, in fact, a new U.S. government-funded food pyramid chart that promotes to the general public the idea that the children's breakfast cereal Lucky Charms is healthier than steak.

Why wouldn’t you consume hard cheese? 😱 it’s the best, no carbs, no gluten, no sugar (bugs ate all the lactose), a bit salty for sure but mostly protein and a bit of fat.

Years ago they were suggesting pizza to be more balanced than breakfast cereals.

Why pizza may be a more balanced breakfast than a sugary bowl of cereal
