Effects Of A Default On Expats

Sounds like Griesa will need to change his ruling anyway and for that, he might need time (another stay?). But if he changes it, that brings new problems, for the US Financial sector... What a mess

"It is too easy to miss poignant moments in the news avalanche of Argentina debt litigation. Here is one from Judge Griesa's monologue at the July 22 hearing:
I can't remember whether it was 2010 or 2011, but thereabouts, the attorneys for the plaintiffs requested the Court to recognize a provision which had been in the contractual documents all along but had not been relied on, and that is the pari passu provisions, essentially meaning if the republic paid certain kinds of debts, there had to be a recognition -- and I'm not trying to get into the arithmetic -- there had to be a recognition of the rights of people with judgments under the pari passu clauses, whatever they were.
Whatever they were indeed."

This entire fiasco is such a mess that it is destined to become textbook material at Harvard and Wharton and Yale, maybe even UBA as DYI manual.

By the way, the banks can access your safety deposit boxes? Or was it an aberration? If true, was it across the board, institutionalized robbery? Or private individuals?

Where is Don Alberto every single time his "true" crashes reality?

By the way, Don Alberto, if there is a sentence, why the judge insists in continue negotiating?

Answer: because a country is a juridic person of international públic law with sovereignty. He cannot enforce the sentence.

If he tries to do it he is going to destroy NY as an international finance center.

What's quite incredible is that Griesa waited until a few hours the CDS were activated, a few hours before and the amount related to the CDS wouldn't have been the same.

and what percentage is that if not a minority?

who is saying boludeces?

So what you're saying, Matías, is that the government's policies have kept the great majority of Argentines from amassing any savings whatsoever: ¡Década ganada!

what Im saying is that is a very tiny portion the argentines that save in dollars.
