US Presidential elections have an effect worldwide. Whether one has a personal interest in the outcome or not, it is a significant event.

Well, that's finally over. Not what I was expecting, but I can't say I'm unhappy with the result.

Trump and Milei have a good relationship which will manifest itself as a benefit to Argentina in the form of trade policy. Also, with the Trump victory comes the expectation that DXY will hold its value, which is good news for those whose income is U.S. dollar based. So, while people may not like either Trump or Milei, they will benefit, at least tangentially, from a dollar that maintains its value. The caveat being that economic reform doesn't happen overnight.

And, IMO, the sooner the current U.S. ambassador, Marc Stanley, is replaced, the better.
