I'm curious to hear from someone who has done this recently, as I need to renew soon. It seems absurd to mail in the passport then physically go to the embassy to pay the fee. Is this honestly better than just making an appointment?
I recall when adding pages in the embassy in Singapore that there you could renew without having to surrender your passport for up to two weeks. I have to surrender it here?
