Green apples, they work wonders. Just peel them first.

I make a smoothie first thing every morning, with green apple, banana, yoghurt, and whatever frozen fruits I found at Jumbo. Sometimes I add a mandarin if I'm out of bananas.

I peel all apples, red and green. Because they may be waxed, because pesticide residue is usually heaviest on the outside, and because I just don't want chunks of peel in my smoothie. I also take time to remove seeds from the mandarins carefully, because if they are torn up in the blender they might stick in my throat, which would be an effing stupid way to die

I'm running out of Metamucil for my husband, he really needs it as some of his medications cause binding. I checked MercadoLibre and all the Metamucil orders are from international companies. I did order a couple items from their international deliveries and it worked fine, although of course you are paying the import tax, but at least it gets delivered to your home and you don't need to go to the international post office to pick it up.
This thread is 12 years old, does anyone have a suggestion for a local Metamucil type product?

I just compared Amazon.com and MercadoLibre, the orders for Metamucil on Mercado Libre are twice the cost of Amazon, even with the shipping costs. I haven't done an international order with Amazon for awhile, maybe Amazon doesn't show you the import tax until you order it and that could be the reason for the big difference?
