As of this hour both Visa and MC are returning the official rate of 195. It may have something to do with this cryptic comment on one website "Update (Feb 2023): Travelers have reported Visa returning to the official rate abruptly after a loophole was discovered internationally for purchases globally." .Gov has alot of publicity involved in this tourist benefit and hopefully the suspension is only temporary.

no, they aren't. visa is working fine, it just takes a couple days now to post the transaction compared to before where it was instant. if you go to the page and covert from ars you will see 335 ars or so gets you 1 dollar.

Visa site shows the following for me which looks close enough to MEP

1000 ARS = 2.552119 GBP​

1 ARS = 0.002552 GBP

1 GBP = 391.831227 ARS

thank you, you're right! i was converting from 1 usd to ars, which uses the official rate. But as you say, entering 380 or so ars returns 1USD.
