I totally agree with Pumor! Its brilliant! That's what I do at home anyway, make the espresso and add ice, skip the waiting. I am a former barrista and all we did was brew coffee and put it in the fridge to cool--this can also be accomplished with espresso and ice. There is nothing really that fancy or mysterious to it, though the quality of beans here are not all that great.
The beauty of this is that you can do this in ANY cafeteria, a cup of ice and a cafe doble if you can sit a while - because they probably won't have ice "to go" cups. "Cafe doble" here is never a cup of coffee anyway as you probably already know, unless you are at Starbucks. hmmm, they might give you a hard time asking for ice, though, I dont know.
They will probably look at you funny like they do to me sometimes when I just have to have an "Americano" norteamericano style, and I ask for hot water with my shots of of cafe. What can I say: I like my coffee cut with water. ¡Yo soy lo que soy! But if you are here for any time at all you have to get used to them looking at you funny anyway!
