I bet there were more Parillas in Hiroshima after the bomb than remain in Buenos Aires today.

Count on the Chinos. I don't know how the situation is nowadays, but if it deteriorates further the Chinos will be the only carriers of foodstuffs.
During the transition years out of the Soviet Union the Chechen and other Central Asian immigrant illegal vegetable vendors were the only ones still in operation, and at the forefront, of the new market economy. That and family vegetable gardens were the only thing that kept society together. They could not however prevent the tobacco shortages.
