If anyone wants to understand why Argentina is in hot water again $$$..

So all the Chinese and African migrants that were getting their residencies by the hundreds every day at migraciones are fake robots?

FYI the nigerian immigrants gets the residency at the CONARE because they are refugees.

Perhaps you mean dominicans. They arrived mainly as victims of trafficking for sexual explotation, there is a paper at the UN website about this. They were the main target for discrimination until CFK enacted an amnesty after the former Director of immigration asserted that they were all prostitutes that deserved to be deported.

You saw there some chinese who goy childs and got precaria because of maternity. But they deport the fathers because the new DNU signed by Macri does not recognize the right to stay if you have familly while the Internation Treaty about the Righs of Children specifies that children must grow with their parents.

However you saw how many? Most of them are there with precaria for appeal because they have deportation order and this is why you saw so many.

You saw perhaps 50/100? There are another 100.000 who are illegals and whom immigration wants to deport.

We agree about how visas works. The issue is to have to apply to a visa when you live here because the arts. 14 and 20 of the NC states that you and me have the right to stay and work, among many other rights.

And here is the subtlety. The Republic of Weimar NC was inspired in ours. So foreigners had full civil rights in Germany. Hitler’s strategy was to use the clause “this constitutional rights must be enforced according to the reglamentation” and the reglamention was there and is here draconian, imposible to full fit.

This is why the parallelism is so usefull with what happends in the III Reich because the laws at the Weimar Republic were so alike and the solutions made by the allied and the Congress in Argentina were the same because at the Congress it was clear they were Arian laws: absolut retroactive nullity.

Even there is always racism, the DNU enacted by Macri allows immigration police to disobey Court’s orders and deport them any way. This is insane and was declared 90% of the decree inconstitutional.

China and Taiwan are over populated countries, Argentina is empty.

Saudi Arabia is an absolute monarchy where there are subject (almost property of the king) not human beings with rights.

I deal with people who can not even apply and almost all the cases go wrong sooner or later.

Paralegals only delay it at DNM, the chinese people you see there is in that situation.

Australia, ironicly, is the example to follow by Mr. President and the goal for the local nazis because of its low population. The dream of the local nazis is to become Australia but they need to “deport” 20.000.000 people for that.

Again, the issue here is that the Weimar Republic and Argentina had the same laws and with Hitler and Peron the changes were the same.

The immigration policy in Argentina is in several articles of the NC and this is why the SC stated that it cannot be changed not even by the Congress. My work is to enforce the NC.

With your own eyes you can see that the earth is flat...

Question - how do you go about blocking someone's posts? I could do without Bajo's endless tirades.

For those who can understand castellano, in my opinion this economist in the video has consistently explained it with great clarity.
Libertarian or whatever, Javier Milei is hot property on all center right media channels at the moment.
His views are waking up a lot of locals to the excesses of overspending by big government socialism.
Even if you don't agree with his views, he certainly presents an interesting argument.

I just watched this video in its entirety, and yes, I believe he is right. I think that Macrism has failed in Argentina, and like the economist said, by the time it comes to Macri's reelection the economy will be in tatters dooming Macri's prospects of reelection. I would argue that electing Vidal is four more years of Macri.

I have been in Argentina for the last two years, and I would call what has occurred since Macri's take over hyperinflation. Luckily for me, I earn in US dollars and have been able to hold inflation at bay, but truthfully, the average Argentine is struggling thanks to Macri.

I'm not defending Macri by any means, but inflation was a huge problem before he became president. Perhaps it's slightly worse now, but it was no picnic before. There were many years during the Kirchner era where inflation was 20%+. They simply cooked the books to make it look much lower. People in Argentina seem to have (selective) amnesia and like to forget about that.

The current Macri controversy has more to do with the price hikes of services (gas, light, water, public transport, etc.). During the K years, you could blast your A/C all day long for a bimonthly bill equivalent to $15 USD. Most people didn't think about factoring services in their monthly budget. That's not true anymore.

At the end of the day, Macri didn't win because people like him. He won because a large enough section of the population didn't want four more years of Kirchnerismo. People hoped there would be real change.

Let's not forget that Macri's presidential election victory in 2015 was NOT a repudiation of the K government. Macri bearly pulled off a win with about a 1% margin. He should have governed accordingly. However, Macri chose not to. He will pay a hefty political price for that.

He can still do it, it’s not too late. But there has to be coherence in both the execution and in the communication.

Call a cadena nacional. Explain clearly your case. Put numbers on the board. Go into some detail about how much worse the true numbers are than even was known during the campaign. Explain the end goal, as well as an honest assessment of how long it will take to get there.
The left has turned the word debt into a bogeyman. Explain why debt is necessary in this case. Why it will help keep the coming recession as short and as least painful as possible.

Put up the numbers that Mr Milei did. Explain how every penny the government spends pushing down the price of electricity, you are actually paying - every time you buy a loaf of bread, half of what you paid goes to the government. Etc.

If people wanted Peronismo Lite, they’d have voted Massa. Don’t be Massa, be you.

The alternative is that all the bad things will happen anyways, but with no control over the narrative, the current administration will be seen not as determinedly pushing a ship through a storm, but listlessly bobbing.

You hit the nail on the head. That's where Macri and Cambiemos have failed. They speak in generalities. They don't give details, so no one knows what they are doing. Furthermore, a lot of what they promised has not materialized. Where are the foreign investments that they promised? I am not referring to the lebacs either. There has been very little economic growth, and that's part of the reason for the inflation we have. In short, Macri has not delivered on a lot of what he promissed, and to be honest, I don't think he knows where we are going, so he has no choice but to speak in generalities.

7) to open immigration with the only requirement of showing your clean criminal check in the last 5 years at the airport like it used to be until 1965 until we reach 100.000.000 inhabitants.
While the US closed the immigration when they got 126 million inhabitants, Peron did it with 14 millions (destroying the most important asset Argentina had) and started a racial selection of the immigration that is still enforced nowadays.

Once you do that, you have to find the way to repatriate (not to force it) the 400 billion usd argentines has abroad because having that money at the Central Bank solves the inflation and the usd issues.

Complete and utter nonsense, we need to harden our immigration policy, not make it easier. Immigrants are part of the problem here in Argentina, mostly for the free handouts that they get but also for the crime they create. Make it harder for them to get here.

If the Central Bank pays 40% interest, there you have the real inflacion.

With the former administration it was 20% but wages were rising above inflation, now they offer 15%.

With the former administration there was fiscal superavit that was used to pay debt, with Macri we have a huge deficit and he takes loans with no limit.

Any Hard data? Or it is just xenophobia?

If you see the statics of the Federal Jail system, foreigners are proportionally a lot more honest than locals and about half of them were in transit here as mules, they disn’t even live here.

The US closed their borders with 144 million, we are lacking 60 millions before to close the borders to immigration.

San luis is alike California in territory but with 150.000 inhabitants. San luis economy does not exist because of the lack of people.
