Is The Piropo A Dying Art ?

Funny how someone mentioned the green stuff and the thread became an irrational blur of unrelated posts that just run wild (a lot more than usual that is). Apparently substance tolerance levels among baexpats is so low that just reading about it gives them a little kick.

And Macri says...

Tatyana Fazlalizadeh's work has made it's way to Buenos Aires... Have you seen the posters around town?

Interesting stuff, Jennifer! I haven't yet seen the posters, but I will keep an eye open.

This is certainly a bold artistic approach to dealing with the problem, but are we sure that there is a direct parallel between BsAS and NYC? I mean, can one take an NYC approach to a problem, and legitimately apply it to a different culture? Is the problem the same in both cities?

Mind you, I'm just asking the questions, not pretending to have the answers

Personally, I might tell a waitress she's pretty, but I would never call out to a woman on the street, that's just so painfully uncultured.
