Just because you have a law degree doesn't mean you are a practicing attorney. In the US, you must first take the bar exam of your state, and after passing, be admitted to practice - but only in that state. Laws are different in every state (and more so in other countries) and attorneys are forbidden by their State Bar Associations from holding themselves out as attorneys in jurisdictions where they are not licensed to practice.
