Legal Help Just Like Back Home/New Kid on the Block

Well, the point is: 1) Somebody who advice about law MUST be a lawyer because the path to hell is done with good will 2) when you hire a lawyer he or she should be somebody reliable. Those are 2 different topics.

Steve and Bajo Cero make excellent points. If he is not licensed to practice here, Street Lawyer is not only breaking Argentine law, but possibly the statutes of the State Bar Association that admitted him to practice. If he is licensed to practice, that is...

Just because you have a law degree doesn't mean you are a practicing attorney. In the US, you must first take the bar exam of your state, and after passing, be admitted to practice - but only in that state. Laws are different in every state (and more so in other countries) and attorneys are forbidden by their State Bar Associations from holding themselves out as attorneys in jurisdictions where they are not licensed to practice.

Perhaps this is why Street Lawyer does not want to give us his name.

Are you licensed to practice, Street Lawyer? In what jurisdiction?

Where did it say he was practicing law in argentina? What he said was that he teamed up with local professionals. He didn't say he himself was providing the legal advice here so perhaps no need to get in a tizzy - or is it worries about having more than one lawyer on the board? ;)
