This is cheap? For 1000 mils we are tallking about US $ 50 . In Australia this would be US$ 10 maximum

That's not Maple syrup, that's Maple 'flavoured' syrup, they aren't the same thing. There is infact no maple syrup in what you linked:

Water, Sweeteners: Sorbitol, Sucralose; Natural Flavours, Thickener: Vegetable Gum (466); Salt, Acidity Regulator (330), Colour (150d), Preservatives (202, 211).

Regardless I'm not making any judgments on the price, just informing people of the option.

That was one example and I agree that its not the best quality Maple Syrup . This link has many 100% organic brands that are still much cheaper than anything in Argentina

Going to that site I see "real" Maple Syrup for between $40 and $60 AU a liter depending on the quantity....in Australia. Real maple syrup is expensive anywhere in the world.....even in Vermont.

if people keep buying stuff at 5 times the price they shouldn't lament the inflation because they are enabling it

My benchmark for maple syrup is this: https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/decacer-pure-maple-syrup/6000072577640 In Canada, in Walmart, in cans the current price is CA$15/litre. I usually buy a few cans when I'm in Canada, take them back to Dear Old Blighty then bring them out to Buenos Aires. Cheap in dollars but expensive in air miles, no?
