Once you´ve made the application for residency your visa expiry is suspended, however, I believe that means you can´t leave the country until you have residency. I also believe that the process in BsAs is much quicker, if you visit here perhaps it might be easier to do that.

Once you give all the paperwork to migraciones, you will be given residencia precaria on the spot. It will be in the form of a single A4 sheet of paper with your details and photo printed on it.

With that paper and your passport, you can work, study, leave and reenter the country from the day you lodge the paperwork until 90 days later.

Thanks. So 90 days duration for the residencia precaria then eh? So what happens when that expires and the residency is still going through the system? Do you just go and get issued another one for another 90 days?
