People, don't get fooled by the ridiculous type of propaganda camberiu is spreading.

Really? Did you ever consider that it might be because the interests of science and the media are not exactly complementary? A scientific study concludes that there are indications ingredient X reduces heart disease. For science to conclude that this is indeed the case the study would have to be peer reviewed and reproducible with consistently statistically significant results. The media, however, knows any story about diet, heart disease, health risks/benefits etc will be gobbled up by increasing hordes of affluent westerners obsessed with their own health and wellbeing. What do you think the headline will be? Then later when the trial is reproduced with a much larger sample size over a longer trial period and they find indications that ingredient X actually causes liver disease? The scientists who conduct these trials themselves would never claim any one trial was definitive, especially in the field of nutritional science which is incredibly complex but then they aren't the ones trying to sell newspapers and magazines.

As to why in some of the richest countries in the world where average life expectancies are amongst the highest ever recorded for human beings where people on average will live longer than their parents, longer than their grandparents, longer than the majority of people on this planet, longer than the vast majority of people who have ever lived there are folks so obsessed with their own health that the term eating disorder is being used (I would lean towards using another term)... well that is a mystery science has yet to unravel.

Camberiu : Are you really so thick believing a High Court decicion, ANY High Court decision has anything to do with "Truth"?

"A Monsanto official told the New York Times that the corporation should not have to take responsibility for the safety of its food products. "Monsanto should not have to vouchsafe the safety of biotech food," said Phil Angell, Monsanto's director of corporate communications. "Our interest is in selling as much of it as possible. Assuring its safety is the FDA's job."

Which says it all.
