After the pandemic is over, I'd like to come to Buenos Aires for an extended stay. How do I send money from my home account to myself in BA?

That depends on the country location of your bank account. You have to live in the USA to use XOOM, for example.

Do a search to read the forum threads on XOOM, Transferwise, and Western Union for options.
