Oh Curry Where Are You?

Irrespective of the economy, most of the good bars or resteraunts are doing pretty damn well here. Let me assure u of that. This includes the restaurant " Tandoor". What do you expect the guy to answer to a question like that to a guest who just came and ate? Give a cooking class? The currys can not be bought anywhere. They are made mixing various spices in appropriate measurements and at appropriate times, mixed as required as the dish is being prepared.

Most of the codiments can be bought in BA and the curry can easily be made learning from you tube.

Wow, bit condescending...
I know they are, I lived here for more than 20 years at some point. Was just wondering if there was something pre made like Patek's Tikka Massala, mostly cos I've been out of the country and perhaps (thou a small chance) there was something out there in the market that I may have missed. Suppliers here work in mysterious ways and I'm also being lazy or practical depending on which way you wanna look at it.
And why would they not answer back nicely? Truth is waiter went back to the kitchen and asked the chef and in return I got him to come by my table and thank my compliment along with his personal card to contact him in case I wanted indeed a cooking class.
Thanks thou for the heads up on YouTube. Fortunately mate I know the secret of making great curry, from the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia, with appropriate measurements and times! ;)
But we definitely agree that most condiments can be bought in BA, but not all.

What Ceviche said, your best bet is learning how to make it yourself.
This is a good place too, Ask them to make it spicy London style . I only ever went once as they are out of my delivery area but it was good and spicy.Prices were reasonable then. It is not a sit down place though but a take away or delivery place .

Shoot, I make curry all the time, very easy to make.. Just follow these, and you can get the "curry tablet" perhaps there in China town? Just ask for the japanese curry pastes, already made for a superb curry roux nice souce. You can go the hard way route here: http://justonecookbook.com/blog/how-to/how-to-make-curry-roux/ Or the easy way here: https://www.google.com/search?q=curry+roux&sa=X&rlz=1G1SNNT_ENUS515&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&ei=9AsZUt62DKmIiALF-oHYBA&ved=0CDkQsAQ&biw=1149&bih=572

I'm about to run out of Patek's Tikka Masala. Is there anywhere else apart from China town (where I already went and all I'll say is bollocks...) where one can find something similar?
Found a restaurant in Recoleta called Tandoor, amazing curry, incredible bad for my budget thou.
I'm really trying not to get my hands dirty and cook. Yes, I'm being lazy.
I too like to lazy/pragmatic option! That said, I haven't been able to find curry paste. The carniceria/deli in the corner of Dorrego y Niceto Vega has garram masala, cinnamon sticks and the likes though.
