Paying bills?

Jantango said: "The Edesur bill is still delivered, but the Metrogas is not to save paper."

Is that correct about Metrogas? I continue to receive my Metrogas bill (up until March at least) in paper form. If they have recently changed that as a policy throughout the city, it would be very important to have that confirmed please. Without a paper bill, how would one know the amount or vencemiento dates?

The email sent by Metrogas states the amount of the bill and the date due with the bill attached. You can either download it and print to pay, or simply go to the site to pay it online. Bill paying has never been simpler.

I receive Edesur, Metrogas and Movistar Hogar (ex Telefonica) bills by email. Every so often my bill didn't arrive (or was taken by one of the residents), so I wanted the most reliable service for delivery. That's why I get all my bills (even the consorcio liquidation) by email.

To go back to the question: If one's only interaction with Metrogas is the paper boleto that arrives at one's building, is it correct that they no longer deliver this? If so, when did new arrangement begin? And how did they communicate it to their customers? And what options did they give their customers to discover the amount and the due date?

(I have never had any communication with Metrogas about this, and have never been asked to provide them with an email address so they can start sending me the bill by email, and, up until the start of March, was still receiving paper bills).

What are we supposed to do about paying bills. I use Rapi Pago or Pago Facil. I use cash for everything. I don't have an Argentine bank account.
Do you have a DNI? I understand that you may open a DNI account online with Banco Provincia de Buenos Aires. Check it out.

You must select the option on the company's website that you want to receive bills BY EMAIL. If not, you get them in the mail. They come by email sooner than they're delivered at your mailbox.

Another way of viewing your accounts with Edesur and Metrogas is by using the VIRTUAL OFFICE option where you can see the history of your bills and know what bills are outstanding. There you can pay the bill online.

Register on the website with your account number and a password. Then, if for some reason your bill doesn't arrive, you can download it from the site.

Thank you for the explanation about how to set up the email arrangements.

(By the way, for those happy to keep working off the paper system, I just noticed that I have received my current bill in paper form, as per usual, so for others who are wondering, I don't think it is correct to say that Metrogas no longer do this.)

And how exactly do I get those pesos to a friend with a bank account? You are supposed to stay home.
I go out walking every day for a couple of hours. I carry a grocery bag and shop in different neighborhoods. I pass police persons at every corner. I have yet to be stopped and/or questioned by any of them. Meet at an ice cream shop, a cafe, chain supermarket store, fruit/veggie store, hardware store or at a pharmacy? There is no restriction to go to any of those types of businesses which are deemed "essential" by the DNU.

You misunderstood what I wrote about the receipt of bills.

Anyone who signs up for the EMAIL delivery with Metrogas will no longer receive the PAPER BILL in the mail. Edesur continues sending bills in the mail even though you sign up for paperless bill service.

All these services have websites and online payment services. Gone are the days when we had to stand in line for hours at a bank or kiosco to pay our bills in cash. ATMs, debit cards, and cell phones have taken charge of paying bills electronically.

OR....delay paying your next utility bills.
When the banks re-open to the general public inquire about opening a Cuenta Gratuita Universal/Caja de Ahorro.
This type of account must be opened in person. I recommend using Banco Cuidad or Banco Supervielle.

The Metrogas bills haven't arrived as yet this month at our building, but mine arrived by email two days ago. This is the message you receive when signing up for FACTURA DIGITAL de Metrogas:
