Pizza Hut and KFC

they had pizza hut in the past

welcome to the 21st century argentina

Michelle Obama probably owns the franchaises. She wouldn't dare own one in the EEUU.

Thanks God!, at last we are going to eat a decent pizza again, lets see how long they survive this time, as for the greasy KFC chicken...Finger lickin' good stuff... hummm I didn't see many people eating with their fingers, but it seems they see that there is potential and promising market again. What we need now is a Domino's Pizza chain, I do like their pizzas better than Pizza Hut...after a bunch of these chains are open all the crappy pizzerias in this country will vanish for good....no doubt about that.

OMG...Argentinian pizzas might be bad, but I still think they are better than Domino's or Pizza Hut's!
:D

I can't agree with that, they still heaps better than the crap we have to eat in BA,...btw I'm writing this while munching a slice of reheated Domino's vegetarian pizza, a leftover from last night delivery of three topings, vegetarian, godfather and supreme....delicious!.

Trust me: 5 years ago I had a delicious pizza in a small restaurant in San Telmo, I managed to find again the place, but I am not sure if they pizzaiolo is still the same one! I am going there next week and I will let you know how it is!
:D

Are people being serious that they're excited about them opening here? I don't think I've ever stepped foot in a Pizza Hut or KFC but they sound..pretty gross in terms of food quality.

Am I missing a joke?

Uncle, pizza in BA isn't what it used to be, toppings changed, dough elaboration changed, relation cheese dough thickness toppings changed, in resume the new pizza cookers lost the plot or in another words the 'recipe' from last generations....welcome to the mass production pizza chains...pizza enter one end and ready for delivery on the other end, that's progress and efficiency, milanesas, bread, empanadas all is elaborated that way now....all its frozen, stored and used again and again and again.

I, too, am kind of surprised about the enthusiasm that KFC and Pizza Hut opening are being received with. Granted, Pizza Hut is way better than most Argentine pizza, but it's still essentially just fast food chain, and with it comes more fast food culture. Not one of the things that I want to see Buenos Aires inundated with. Then again, I'm no fan of the Starbucks, McDonalds, Burger King, etc., so just call me an agua fiestas.

Edited to add: to those who are excited to finally "eat good pizza again" have you ever tried making your own? It's easy, inexpensive, healthier than anything you'll order out, AND seriously delicious. Try it sometime!

Christ. I'd rather dumpster-dive than eat at either of those places. What's next, an Olive Garden?
