serious assault last night

If they are to blame (innocent until proven guilty), they let down their rugby team also who recently had gained access to 2nd division (if I've read correctly). 4/5 players less would be quite a handicap.

Very nice French Jurist!

They aren't being convicted of anything... they are accused of a serious crime and will hopefully have their day in court. If the original allegations are true, I have no doubt those are the same men in the pictures.

Best wishes to the injured man in the hospital.

Boyfriend said they look pretty big - possibly Rugby players.
http://www.casi.org.ar/ This club is especially known to be aggressive bar brawlers. There's other clubs as well, but he's not familiar.
His opinion is that you should ask around Rugby circles, though I suspect they're keen on protecting their own.

nice info there, thanks to that French J made all his work! u both ROCK!

I am very confused. Is just that the notion of "innocent until proven guilty" does not apply in Arg, just because "this is Arg"?? Were the perpetrators really rugby players, or just bulky guys? Guys, you've posted pictures of specific people tying them to a crime. Keep in mind that things in the internet remain there forever. I just hope that someone will be able to edit this thread once the issue is solved

To many people here have the mentality that they can do whatever they want and get away with it. I think I speak for most people on this forum when I say that we are sick of it.

Yes, they are innocent until proven guilty, you are correct.

But how many people in this country get robbed, mugged, or worse and the criminal gets away with it. How many expats have been victims of crimes where we know that no matter what we do, the criminals will never be found, and if they are found, they won't face charges.

This is one instance where we had a chance to help bring someone to justice and I am glad to see the Expat community rally to help. None of us are reaching for our pitchforks or torches here, we just want to see these people (if the story is correct) brought to justice.

I honestly believe that crime is becoming an increasing problem here because the people let it. No one is speaking out against crime or demanding change.

This is our way of speaking out.

Question is, is it a military club? (from the Argentinean Navy?).

there are some retired officers, but now is a civil institution.. no goberment or military involved.

They were identified as the attackers in an attempted homicide and the victims friends asked the general public for help in identifying the. The same thing that news stations do when they show pictures of alleged criminals in hopes that someone can identify them. Nobody has been convicted. The police now have their names. The victim is recovering in the hospital. Both parties will have their day in court.

I asked where you have to go to file the report to avoid police ignorance... you have to go to tribunales on Talcahuano street. Ask for the "fiscalia de turno" and they can file the denuncia there.

Just wow. Internet, Facebook, Cellphones, after all Big Brother maybe is not such a bad thing.
