Spine Surgery Question

Eugenia, I am very happy for you to successfully gone through your difficult surgery. Now wishing you a god speed recovery..

reviving this post -- LaCoqueta (and Eugenia, if you are still here) -- I saw a traumatologo a month or so ago for what I thought was going to be my chronic achilles tendonitis. He suspected it was a disk issue and sent me off for an MRI on my lower back. Results, 60 per cent of lumbar disc are in some state of degeneration and two herniated. Today I have tingling in my 4th finger on my left hand and some numbness up to about my elbow. So I suspect my cervical discs are bad as well. My traumatologo specialises in ankle/knees though, so I am looking for someone that specialises in columna. Would you be able to pass on your doctors names? Thanks so much!

Yes that all makes sense....I had two stenoid discs and a triple fusion when in the US. But that was already 15 years ago, here I saw Dr Antonio Rezoagli who is not a back surgeon but a specialist in pain and he suggested a procedure that has vastly improved my quality of life along with the proper medication. He also now speaks decent English. His office number is 4787-3616 and he is located in Belgrano. He does specialize in back pain, he is an anesthesiologist and works with neurosurgeons if one needs surgery. His receptionists do not speak English. Best of luck and let me know what you think if you meet with him.

Sorry to hear about your health issues... :eek: Gives me some perspective on my silly aches & pains.

My sister's friend recently had spine surgery at Fleni. I saw her last week, she is doing fine and ready for physical therapy now. She had nerve damage due to herniated cervical discs. She spent a week at Fleni after the surgery and a couple weeks with a neck collar.

I will ask for doctor's names.

In my experience, you can find a solution besides surgery:
1) accupunture;
2) tens;
3) Mckenzie method.

I was in a wheelchair and I m Ok now. No pain and training.

Got it!

Doctor Pablo Marino at Fleni.

Also recommended is Dr. Repetto in Belgrano.

Good luck!
