The pregnant Russian trafficking network

The conditions of the 6 pregnant Russian women retained at Ezeiza were inhumane , 2 days in a room with only chairs and no access to personal effects for personal higiene, assume a bathroom was available. Later transferred to another space with sofas where they could sit more comfortably. After 6 days in confinement were released

Haven't yet seen in the media a group of local feminist mothers that have spoken firmly on behalf of the confined pregnant Russian Women.
Indeed.
It was 3 days for the first one. 23 hs for the other 5.

Were they actually detained or simply transferred to the departures area to await deportation? Or are we talking about different groups of denied entries? The photos and videos in the news clearly show them laying down in the departure lounge - plenty of options in terms of restaurants, shops, bathrooms, seating, cafes, and lounges to choose from.... hardly inhumane. And was it because immigration was "holding" them, or because they were refusing or challenging the deportation flight that was offered?

Being "held" at an airport is something that happens everywhere in the world on a daily basis if an immigration officer denies you entry while you wait for a flight home or try to appeal the decision. You're not going to spend a night at an airport Marriott while awaiting deportation anywhere in the world. However in many countries, Russia and the USA included, it means waiting out deportation in an airport cell, or worse, an offsite detention center that is less than comfortable and certainly less comfortable than the Ezeiza departures lounge! For that reason, all travelers should ensure they have their sh!t together before they get on a plane - and according to Migraciones and the judge who dealt with their case, these ladies could have chosen to go to an Argentine embassy or consulate, and get a visa beforehand but they chose not to hence Migraciones did indeed follow due process.

Anyhow, the guy wanted by Interpol also lodged an appeal to stay.
At this point, migration officers should just go home and hang an "open" sign on the gates... give it a few more years and another wave of war criminals wanted by Interpol from that part of the world will also be arriving, just like they were welcomed here in the mid-20th century that Migraciones were "powerless" to stop.
The first woman was 3 days without her medications for holding the baby. She was 3 times almost giving birth. They tried to force her to take a flight to Rusia and having the baby on that plane. I do not know what kind of uncivilized country are you from but here this is unacceptable.

Refugee visas. Etc. They all conveniently fly to Argentina at 33 weeks pregnant not earlier. If you are "running away" from conflict you don't really have the luxury of timing.
They had to sleep on the floor? So what. They had to sit packed for 25+ hours 8 months pregnant probably in economy half way across the globe at their own volition. They were offered free flights back home they said no. Pregnant women are stranded at airports due to flights cancelation in transit all the time! And yes they sleep on the floor, that's why most airlines refuse to fly pregnante women late in their pregnancy...

Not true for 80+% of them. Migraciones records show most leave the country within 5 weeks of giving birth with their children registered as Argentinos.
Again those that are really here to stay and contribute and radicarse are WELCOME. Not freeloaders though. Here is an article about that minority.
The problem was they didn't have the option to ask for asylum. There was an irregular form with questions only for tourism.
At the habeas corpus hearing it was clear that on Friday there were over 25 Russian marriage with pregnant women and many single men. They had no problem while this 6 women were arrested because 1) they were women; 2) they were pregnant and 3) they were not escort by a man ¿?.
The judge found proved that there was discrimination for being a woman and violence against them because of being women.
It was also proved that immigrations fake affidavit didn't allow them to ask the entry for humanitarian reasons like refugee, stateless, etc.
They declared with a translator before the judge that they were moving to Argentina for ever, that they came alone because their husbands were deserters, one of them was from an Ucranian Russian family: a traitor for Russians and Ucranians. The husband of the woman who suffered more is a construction worker.
The judge orderer to free them immediately for humanitarian reasons. He also stated that Eze Airport has no proper facilities for retaining any pregnant woman ever again.
Today DNM gave up and accepted to move to Argentina as a valid immigration reason no questions asked. The head of immigration also used the logo of the most important organization of women trafficking to assert that there will be no tolerance with this frauds (visa runs included I might say too).
So, since today if you say you are moving here, that is Ok.

I was not referring to the most recent Group of Russian women that came led in by an Interpol wanted Russian.
The previous group of 6 pregnant Russian Women were detained and had no access to restos etc. All what you mentioned does Not apply (Wrong tree). They had to sleep on the floor.
Request VISA ? under what category ?

The Russian women are escaping from a dictatorship and war, looking for a better future, they deserve compassion. They are Immigrants like the ones that came escaping from the Tsars Pogroms. They aren't Putin soldiers.
Totally agree, they absolutely deserve compassion and support. They are seeking a better life, just like the millions who immigrated here in the 1800s - the only difference is that now the immigrants are ethnic Russians, so apparently to some, that means that it's okay to say hateful things about them. Extremely unfortunate. I hope more people will come to welcome these immigrants.

Two fighting age male Russians waited next to me at Migracion recently. Speaking good English they mentioned that Buenos Aires was currently a better option than the Donbas. They intend to stay for a while.

Bajo_cero2 . We may have disagreed in the past on K issues , but now you are my local hero. Watched your TV interviews Excellent.
Opinions in this Forum may be divided , Some are compassionate and feel the Pregnant Women should be allowed in. The Others have never been immigrants.

They are trying to distract us shifting the attention towards these so called human traffic organizations , when in reality the whole focus of the investigation should be aimed at the higher ups in immigration at the airport.
The only reason human traffic exists is because of their connection with people on the inside, in short, no corrupt officials, no human traffic will take place.
Let us remember the express lanes for covid shots in ezeiza for foreigners who paid in dollars that turned out to be all a lie , except the dollars paid by the tourist.
I don't defend the traffic of people but i do believe that the only effective way to prevent it is not allowing an environment where it can flourish.
Heads need to roll after this fiasco at the highest levels , somehow i doubt it will happen.
Just recalled, sorry, wasn't vaccines, it was testing for covid at ezeiza.

The local Head of Immigration DNM Florencia Carignano? Stated this morning on TV that only the Justice Department/Courts handle the process of nationalization . A Nationalization process request by a Russian woman can take to a Court/Judge 5 months to issue. a request by a Venezuelan individual can take 5 years..?

Sanatorio Finochietto is where most Pregnant Russian women go, signs for Russian translators are on the walls the fees for translators are way high. If you can translate rush over there. A Dr. there said on TV, they previously had 2 childbirths per month, now up to 50 childbirths.

It is pure fantasy. Russian passports in 5 months are like unicorns: nobody saw one.
