Things To Doo...

Going out on a night:
Plaza Serano in Palermo, Konnex in Abasto, I've heard Almagro is pretty good but probably a bit too mature for your age.

There are quite a lot of underground parties. Hunt them down on Facebook.

Check out the citys cultral agenda: http://agendacultural.buenosaires.gob.ar

There is plenty of people that speak fluent English (many of them are just to shy to use it in front of other Argentines) but all depend on the circle you move off course, from my argentine group i would say 85% speak English but if we are in a group where the english speakers are the minority they will avoid to use the English.

I'm confused its" New Joecey" or Jersey Isles :D Sure some high schoolers here have something to comment add.

If you're a true Jersey Girl you enjoy shopping and going to the mall. You can do that here but the prices are double or triple - well except the food court...

Not even going to try to pretend like that wasn't offensive. Sorry, but you don't know me. There's a lot of things you don't know about me. You don't get the right to judge me just based on what you think you know, no matter how "well" you can read people.
Easy for you to say, find one university filled with those kind of people that accepts people without a high school diploma and I'll say you're right.
But don't disregard what I've said based on the routes you think you know, because frankly you have no idea. Trust. Me.

And as for the post before, yeah, I mean I was able to go into freshmen year and pass that with a 3.6 GPA so they didn't necessarily need my 7th and 8th grade academic proof. I just need the high school diploma, SAT scores along with AP test scores.
Thank you though, means a lot:) I guess I'll have to dig up more on the school systems and see what I can do :S

Actually I was never suggesting you go to university. I wasnt even responding to you. I was responding to another poster's comment that English speakers are in short supply.

Roberwe = JamJam? Interesting lot of double posts ;)

Anyway to Philip, who was speaking to me, not OP -- I think English ability really depends on the circle you are in, but not that many teenagers qualify as fully bilingual, and in teenage groups there are even fewer that would be willing to speak in english to someone that doesn't have full grasp of spanish. teenagers are a fickle bunch that often just want to talk to their boludo friends; the interest in flexing their english muscles doesn't necessarily come until the university years and beyond.
