I would like to take advantage of all those bici lanes! In the US I rode a Vespa motor scooter but feel it would be too dangerous here. So I'm thinking about a bicycle. It'd be mostly to run some errands or use recreationally. I'm particularly curious about the folding bikes (I live on the sixth floor) or the E Trotter (which a serious cycling friend of mine thinks is the greatest!) has anyone had experiences with either of these? I've already been on line but honestly it wasn't much help. There are plenty of parking lots very close and I also have a balcony where I suppose I could keep it (covered?) although the elevator only fits three and I have sciatica. In general I am concerned with the comfort of the seat and handlebars. I don't want something that will make me lean forward I.e. No racing type handlebars Also would like some personal reccomendations on bike shops. I live in Recoleta but would go anywhere I can get to for good service
. Another option I suppose would be to buy a folding bike in the US when I'm there and bring it on the plane but it seems it would be more expensive by the time I add on the baggage(or customs?) charges Any opinions/ experiences ? Thanks in advance!
