Chile, of course, has abundant wood construction but, from what I can tell, the framing is often terrible.

It is almost impossible to get wood that is really dry in Chile. Probably the reason why they use a lot metal framing these days.

OK, if my desired house cost US$1mil, then this rather very modest one may do the trick..However, I may add a second floor to it due to having too much belongings to bring with me...Plus have to build me a garage too.
