Uber Update?

If they do that, report them to Uber, it will help it stop.

My concern is linking my credit card to Uber in Argentina. Is it safe?

Great experience and again proves how much better it is than what the taxis offer in terms of ripping people off, cleanliness. He also spoke about how Uber is trying to become legal by paying taxes and monotributo etc

I encourage EVERYONE to start/continue using Uber to force it to become an accepted service to stop the taxi union monopoly. Maybe it will be a wake up call and they start behaving - if not they will lose business and Uber will eat into their market share. Good riddance.

Well said!!
If the Uber service and prices are as good as you say then I do hope more and more people start using them if only to give the yellow and black lot a kick up the backside. Must admit as a bit of a luddite I'll probably continue just to flag down a Radio Taxi as I can't see an Uber car being as readily available. Worth considering for a longer journey though.

I could be imagining it, but I've noticed the BA taxi drivers in general seem to be a bit better since Uber came to town, and they sure perk up if you mention the arrival of the big U! Now, if only Lyft would come to BA too and then things would get really interesting. In the US, I only use Lyft...they are cheaper, with friendlier drivers that you can actually tip, and a better company not run by one of Trump's apologists, I mean advisors! (PS before anyone jumps on my post, I do know about Lyft investor Peter Thiel, but Uber CEO Travis Kalanick truly makes my stomach churn...no big company is truly clean, so you've gotta pick your poison)
