Us Tourist Robbed

Argentina is a failing state and is best classified as an Ineptocracy. I get paid tomorrow and guess what I'm buying? Mace, because Lord knows
a fat guy like me can't chase punk ass kids stealing stuff so I'll mace them and sit my fat ass on them until the cops come.

I don't approve of the lynchings but in all honesty as terrible is it is, it's the only form of justice here.

You think the cops are gonna help poor you that got robbed of your valuables? Argentina can't solve the fucking AMIA Bombing 20 years on, that's
how much faith you should have in being safe or seeing justice here.

Argentina: Un país con inepta gente

When someone's grandpa is attacked & kicked to death while waiting for the train, when a father is assassinated in front of his young children or when a pregnant woman is shot ..... the 'mother' queen NEVER moves a finger. Finally when a few scumbag serial criminals cop a well deserved beating then yes, she & all the other morally superior 'do gooders' come out all guns blazing, waving the finger, talking about human rights for the disadvantaged.

They should apply the Salomonic Law , allow lynchings up to a number equal to the number of retirees tortured and murdered by the outlaws  For all you Bible readers An Eye for an Eye.

I will like to see something done about this events but something other than just jailing people up. I don't want to see Argentina turning into the police state the United States have become.

According to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU): The US with only 5% of the world population holds a staggering 25% of the total inmates around the world. One out of every four inmates in the world is a fellow US citizen.

The land of the free they said.

On one level I agree with you, but the government's de facto assertion that social inequality justifies muggings is going too far. It's an insult to the great majority of poor Argentines who do not even consider resorting to thuggery to get by. It's every bit as indefensible as street lynchings.

22 yo bus driver shot on the job after him and his passengers get robbed at gun point in BA Gobernador Daniel Scioli's province resulting in 12 hour strike? Bitching about the fact they're striking. 18 year old punk gets the shit beat out of him for robbing someone? los descamisados y pobres!!! mamá está acápara ustedes!!! Mi bebés!!

And the nerve of Zaffaroni to put his righteous ass in the debate by saying the following:

I'm pretty sure the public is not being stigmatized, and I guess lynchings are a genocide but killing thousands of Native Americans isn't? Argentine revisionist history once again.

The gold part too, like always, it's either Massa's or Macri's or the US' fault:

Zaffaroni cargó hoy con dureza contra el líder del Frente Renovador, el diputado Sergio Massa, a quien calificó de "vendepatria" y de "personaje lamentable políticamente" y agregó que es "un mentiroso, que lo único que hace es juntar votos con mentiras".

We all know that Argentina loves the Simpsons, but I fear we're starting to live in the Episode "Homer the Vigilante" the one with the cat burglar.

While I'm finding each episode of street justice quite amusing, I am also concerned about the likelihood of these (previously unarmed) punks starting to arm themselves and their friends from now onwards resulting in more violence on the streets.

Emphatically agreed. I came here to escape the police state.
