Besides, I know this goes contrary to the strongly held beliefs and screws with the worship of Peron but if you hate the "militars" so much how the heck do you think Peron got such titles as "Colonel"?

Peronistas are all full of contradictions like their master who once said, "by the year 2000 argentines will either be divided or united" (genius! What a prophecy!!)

At the end of the day people deserve the politicians they get. A message that tells people that they're the victims and nothing that is wrong or bad is their fault and that the government is perpetually there to support them and baby them will always win over a message that promotes responsibility and discipline.

That is why fútbol para todos or _____ para todos, in this country, will always garner more votes than juntos podemos.

What's really amazing is that despite being a disaster, it's still as "strong" as it is. The country is so rich in so many ways and instead of taking advantage of it time and money is wasted on aimless arguments and political gibberish while the poor keep getting taken advantage of (and sadly seem grateful for it). Argentines as a whole need to grow up if the country is going to break the cycle it's stuck in.

YEs I agree with you... I want to see Cristina BAez de Kirchner get lynched by the very same 54% mob of fools who voted her in but on the other hand, I worry there won't be a country left by the time 2015 comes around. Oooh yes I would dearly love to rub their noses in it & watch them squirm in their agony but at what cost? I agree though, as grotesque an image as it may be, Peronism's image has to be seen to rot on it's own merits, in full public view. We need to be patient, sit back & let them learn from their own painful choices.

I tend to agree with that. Unfortunately, as long as Peronism remains the only route to power, the only hope is reform from within. And yeah, I know that's been tried before and failed ... nevertheless there don't appear to be any alternatives.
