I did, plus I spent 6 months this year in Santiago, I'm in contact every day with friends there. Also listen every day to radio Biobio in Santiago with the up to the minute news...!

I spent three months in Valdivia once a attractive city south of Santiago. I visited Chilean Patagonia in 1982 after reading the classic book In Patagonia by Bruce Chatwin . The scenery of the Chilean side is more stunning than Argentinas . The only negative is the weather is much worse with a lot of rain. The comarca andina has stunning weather especially El Bolson with little wind and rain
