Western Union money transfer

Apparently you can't use WU for a bank transfer from US account to Argentine account if the accounts holder is the same person. How do you send money from your US account to Argentina if you don't want to send it to another person?
Contrary to what's being said here and steveinbsas comments and experience, here's the final e-mail message I received from WU customer service on making a debit card transfer from my US bank to my Argentina bank account. I went through three WU Chat conversations, a phone call, and finally an e-mail exchange after I provided the error message I was receiving online. Plenty of reason to think it can't be done and then this....
"Good day.
Thank you for your recent email.
Please be advised that sending directly to a bank account in Argentina is unavailable online. If you need to send a direct-to-bank money transfer, you may go to the nearest agent location to proceed.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Should you have other requests or inquiries, please feel free to contact us. Thank you."

So, "Western Union Wheel of Fortune"

When did this happen?

Debit card to cash pickup transfers are available. Whether transfers to an Argentine bank account are available, this is 'erratic' at best.
Do you happen to know if paying cash in the US for transfer directly to an Argentine bank account is possible...at the moment?

The WU exchange rate as of 5 PM today: $80,42 ARS to one USD. (plus a fee)

While the dollar blue (buy) rate is $74 ARS to one USD.

PS: Transferwise is $60 ARS to one USD (plus a fee)

I live in Bogota...soon to be living in BA. I talked to a doctor in BA today...friendly conversation. I asked her about the cost of coming in and she said 2000 pesos. I think she understood what I was asking...it was in English. Diabetes specialist. In Bogota the cost would be $70 I think. Just a thought.

Were you communicating by Western Union? Do they still have telegraph service?

There is still the option to buy bitcoin in the US online and then sell in Argentina and have them deposit the pesos to your local bank account. Also gets you around 80 pesos per dollar.
