Yesterday at 5 pm. on Florida street arbolitos every 10 mts. Cambio, Cambio...!! offering to buy dollars at $8 pesos !! Same thing on Lavalle . Will check today...!!

Two days ago, I sold 100 USD at 7.90:1 in my usual cueva. Once in the Centro, I needed to change 100 USD more, and was offered 7.80:1 on Florida.
Today I can change at 8.00:1 but that does not really reflect the real rate.

What is the "real" rate? Now we have a "deep blue" as well as blue and official dollar..And the "real" isn't real because no one is really selling so low, and the rate isn't the rate because the cuevas are being TOLD what the rate needs to be or lose their licenses(what licenses?! I thought they were illegal?). Well the "real rate" is what you can REALly get when you go to sell, or the rate at which you arbitrarily decide you feel comfortable selling, your really controlled and impossible to find dollars!

Thing is that now you have the blue rate and the new deep blue rate... check this out:http://www.lanacion.com.ar/1591455-para-tener-a-moreno-contento-ya-le-nacio-un-paralelo-al-dolar-blue

People invest in briks in this country. The new law about cedins might be a better investment and saving taxes, so, the fall is reasonable.

so what are your reasons to state that Nikad? I wish you're right but everyday I see the dollar and euro drop and drop again, this way Argentina will never be cheap again for us who have access to euros (and dollars).

What data/information are you using to come up with a 18-1 prediction?

I guess it depends a bit about the results of October elections. Already in August, we'll have a clearer picture, but I guess the FPV will win. Then they won't need to attack the Blue so much (presumably).

But well, this is Argentina. You wanted Adventure? You have it!

People invest in bricks that actually have 100,000 dollars in cash to put down on a property. How many people have 100,000 in cash? Not many. So meanwhile, those of us who do not have 100,000 in a bank account have to figure out something else.
