That used to be my favourite. I met Robert Duval in there once when he was in town filming a Tango movie.

And, having travelled and eaten Pizza in Italy, I found the Pizza to be better in Buenos Aires.

I think Filo closed long ago but I could be wrong.

For real Neapolitan pizza, Siamo nel Forno (Costa Rica 5886) is hard to beat. Very friendly staff too.

Cosi mi Piace, Salvador St.... in Palermo has a special Pizza Margarita not bad . These pizzas must be cheap to produce the base is thin as a pancake/Crepe. The amount of mozzarella is hardly noticeable . A small rubbing of tomato paste on top. Cost $4500 for individual size, 4 slices.

And about Piola....I had a 4 slice 'small' pizza with one ingredient and a pepsi....9000+ pesos.

I want thin crisp crust. Good cheese, good marinara sauce served so hot it burns the roof of your mouth. My dream. Not likely.

Preferable for me since it is along what I grew up with for a slice.
As for now my friends cringe when I go to Ugi's. LOL
But I seek the ever elusive , quintessential , slice. Ahhhh

Ugi's Pizza is great, just needs finishing..! you add more Parmesan cheese and shredded Basil Leaves , maybe chopped (cubeteados) tomatoes. Guests love it ..!
