A "chacra" is a farm used for agriculture, whereas an "estancia" is a farm used for livestock. Reason why they are usually divided by waterways so that the cattle cannot easily cross and consequently do not trample on the crops.

The city of Azul has both. I don't know about Tandil.

City of Olavarria: (4) service providers, only (1) of them received positive reviews on their websites.
Base Tecnica Olavarria...when clicking on their website it leads you to the website of Cablevision/Fibertel.
Positive reviews. Post by a reviewer: Place where the technicians of the old Cablevision - Fibertel, now Telecom, operate.

Yes....particularly if you like to eat at a restaurant that serves traditional ARG "country kitchen" dishes.
My favorite place is "Lo de Graciela-Cocina de Campo".
It is located about 20 km from the center of town. The food and service was great the last time I was there in Nov, 2019.

Azul and Tandil are both surrounded by some of the nicest estancias in Argentina, but very few are lodgings for tourists. There are many 10,000 hectaire estancias owned by the same families for 100 years or more. That area of the provincia has a lot of wealthy people, fancy tractors, big cars, and nice restaurants in tiny towns. The Landed Gentry. But once you get outside of the towns, there is nothing, no stores, no businesses, until the next town, which can sometimes be 100 kilometers. Thats why you want to rent near the town. Tandil is big enough to have some sprawl, and some newer semirural neighborhoods to the south and east with newer homes. Azul is pretty much on/off. You are either in town, or you are in the country, with nothing but cows and soybeans. Both are quite pretty.

It is a popular tourist destination with lots of restaurants and lodgings of all types - hotels and cabins. Should be easy to get a rental there. The city is surrounded by sierras, in a very scenic location. Both Olavarria and Azul are set in flat terrain.

How hard it will be keep possession of these if one is not living there all the time.
