It keeps amazing that there are still so many people coming over, eventhough I rarely know anybody now who stays longer then 9 to 12 months

Tickets Europe - Argentina = 1200/1500 euro. I have no idea about the US but probally about the same in dollar terms
Food = cook at home, probally 200/300 dollar a month
Healthcare = 200 dollar a month
Entertainment: Depends on what you want but if you want to go out 2 times a week you should be talking about 100/150 dollar a month
Rentals = 800 tot 1200 dollar
Room rent = 300 to 500 dollar

Transport is really a non-factor and your calculating with nothing else

By all my calculuting you need about 5000 peso a month to live decently in BA and even then you end up begin stuck in your small appartement/room for about 3,4 nights a week

I also do notice that most perm-tourist/expats are regular drugsusers. Any coincedence in that?

The quality of life in BA has diminished over the last 8 yrs. in direct proportion to the increase in the availability of PACO and similar. I know this may be an oversimplification which neglects a few intricate side bars, but it is a "bottom line".

Why has your quality of life declined?

Maybe he can't afford what he used to afford. That has happened to a lot of us.

Lee.............I thought you were heading off to Columbia?
