Hi, does anyone here know what's required to obtain a 'work visa' in Argentina, or have any experience with the process?

Did you try searching for "work visa" or similar phrases. This is covered in detail in several threads.

The short answer is a company has to sponsor you, which requires mountains of paperwork, including being all clear with AFIP (the Argentine IRS). In short, unless they REALLY want you here, and are willing to pay for the process, it is unlikely.
