Xmas Rental Nightmare - Advice Please - Where To From Here ?

Thanks guys - I think I need to see if I can find that receipt we got from the rental agency and I think we also need to see about some sort of refund also - because to put it bluntly, we have been royally screwed - by both the rental agency and the landlady from hell. Just to make things more complicated receipts and things like this have been used to open bank accounts and for my citizenship case and everything else - so right now when I *need* them I am having problems finding these pieces of paper - its a right royal snafu in every sense of the word :) lol Anyway, yes, I think we have to do something about this and I need to get my partner to do it for me or I go with her while she does it because maybe my Spanish is not so good but I am maybe better at standing my ground when I am being ''had''...

PS Frenchie - see my last post :) (Still can't find the damn document and conveniently nobody else seems to have a copy of it either :(

Never heard about that (could be true).
Only happens when there's a rift, as usually its settled immediately. But legally that's the term they have to give the deposito back. Of course, he shouldn't mention this as the old guy might not even know about it.
PS: Doing an original inventory of the house and its assets, even taking some pics, is a good move by both parties. As the Escribano has no way of knowing how the condition of the apartment was x times ago.

Check that French video posted on YT 4 weeks ago (send it to the landlord B) ) :

A guy renting was screwed (supposedly) of 2000 Euros by the landlord... Clockwork orange style with Beethoven & such :D

Stylish but I hope he anticipated the legal problems coming...

If you do that to her apartment, you will have Bajo-Cero at you all over the court house and then you lose and pay her back four folds!

Yes it is OK for her to steal from you, and the realestate slimes to do their usual fake non value add business. But if you retaliate in any way....you are screwed. If I were you I would not vacate unless I had deposit in hand and refund from the real estate agent. [go to real estate agent and demand a copy of the rntal agreement that they probably never sent you in the first place]

It's true actually - they can't force you out. At least get your deposit and the rest back BEFORE you walk out that door. Play hardball, it sounds like it is well deserved.

Good luck.

If you don't play hardball then you have zero balls and don't deserve our forum compassion, pity, help....whatever.

I'm hearing a lot of common sense here I think guys - we are STILL desperately running around looking for a new apartment - but as I said to my partner already, IF we have a new place to move into we are MOVING, if NOT we are staying put until we HAVE a new place - and we are not moving out until we have at least some of our money in hand - and then, once we are OUT - then I will post the names of these scumbags here and everywhere else I can think of - as a warning so that its a lot harder for them to find more victims... If its a war they want happy to oblige... Just a shame we have to go through this crap at this time of the year though - if they had acted like human beings none of this would have been necessary - all they had to do (her and her husband) was stick to the agreement they made with us...
