Gringoboy - I like your thinking too HOPEFULLY today I have my deposit in my hands - 6am today I finished moving into the new (temporary) apartment and it was hell on earth - friends helping, taxis, taxi trucks - an utter high stress disaster and knowing I have to do it all and still be ready to move AGAIN in about three weeks? NOT a great feeling All thanks to the landlady from hell - but later on tonight with deposit in hand it will be my PLEASURE to name and shame this utterly disgusting creature...

These are names to keep on your ''list'' - the list of people you NEVER do business with, never rent from and never enter into any sort of contract with - unless you want to get seriously ripped off or screwed over...

NOW - lets do a bit of history so you all have some IDEA of what you will end up dealing with if you are silly enough to rent from these people - first of all our three years from hell with Jorge - he is a local BA lawyer who takes the greatest of pleasure screwing you in every way possible - you start off in a cockroach infested apartment where EVERYTHING is sh*t - but you don't realize it until you are in the door (cleverly disguised). Cockroaches, dangerous electrical cabling that is probably older than I am (and I am 50), problems with every single thing you can imagine - the gas, the hot water, you name... He forces you to pay en negro of course - sending your money to his daughter's US bank account in US dollars - and even though he is a lawyer and apparently a well known one - once the decree comes out that it is no longer legal to pay in US dollars he continues to pressure you for dollar payments nonetheless - in the meantime you are paying thousands of pesos to repair things in the apartment with his ''promise'' that you will be reimbursed or it will be taken out of the rent - which it never is... Long long story - but just recently when we were at our most desperate - we got a call from Jorge to say that he had an apartment for us - I'm just so GLAD - even facing the threat of being on the streets - that we DIDN'T go there...

Hi Hybrid Ambassador - no that is a different lawyer - this lawyer I have named here was our landlord for the first three years in Belgrano... Sadly the large post I just did explaining the rest of the story about Norma and Zabaleta - who have now stolen my deposit money as well - that has not yet been approved for posting so I guess you'll have to wait till it is and then you will be able to read the whole ugly story/latest update...

PS In THAT post I have requested ideas/feedback from anyone here on not only how to apply pressure/force them legally (or whatever) to give MY MONEY back but I have done my best to warn off everyone here from having dealings with these unscrupulous individuals - the lengths to which they will go, the antics, the games, the lies - to break agreements and verbal contracts, to withhold money that is rightfully yours and so on - an absolute nightmare...
