3D Tv: Is It Worth It?

I tend do agree with the assessment that most of the time, it is the Koreans that keep playing the victimhood card. It is politically very expedient (just like the Malvinas issue here).
However, some Japanese do not help either, by publishing history books that either minimize or deny the atrocities committed during the occupation, or when some jackass conservative comes out and tries to justify the occupation as some type of "merciful act"from Japan. So both countries are assholes in this dispute, although I think the South Koreans are the bigger assholes.

Sorry steveinbsas, for hijacking your thread..
Yeah, PM Abe always saying to the presidenta Park of Korea, Japan's door is always open for you but we are terminating currency swap 'cause despite many affirmation, you do not seeming to need the Dollar borrowing from us anymore?

Sony Is Mystified By Massive PS4 Sales ?

If you wonder how it’s possible that Sony Sony has sold a remarkable 10 million PS4s since launch, you’re in good company. Shuhei Yoshida, Sony’s President of Worldwide Studios, says that he and Sony at large are asking themselves the same question. In an extensive interview with Eurogamer, he says that they’re as stumped as anyone as to how they’ve managed to pull this off:

“It’s just beyond our imagination. We are so happy. But I for one am a bit nervous because we do not completely understand what’s happening. You need to understand why your products are selling well so you can plan for the future, right? It defied the conventional thinking. Lots of people thought the dedicated game hardware might not be needed going forward, but still lots of people are very excited…
I’m asking marketing people to tell us why. They’ve been to people who already purchased, and some of the early data was amazing in terms of the number of people who didn’t used to own PS3 have already purchased PS4. So we are getting lots of new customers coming into PlayStation. And some people never purchased any last-gen hardware: PS3, or Xbox 360 or Nintendo Nintendo Wii. So where did they come from?”

Just Google "Yellow Light of Death".

Iam over due for new console the PS4 but don't play that much anymore but perhaps getting one soon if to move to Argentina.
Have tons of interested feature NHK on my recorder and not enough time to devour all that much info !

You have probably never owned a Playstation then :)

I`ve a PS1, PS2 , PSP,PS3 x3 and a PS4 ,never had a problem with any of them. You must be doing something wrong? You`re not putting pancakes in that slot at the front are you?

I've had 3 Xbox 360s die on me over the years.

According to Gamestop, the Xbox 360 had a failure rate of over 50%, which was unacceptable. The PS3 slim had a failure rate of 27%, which is still extremely high. The Wii had a failure rate of 2%.

PS3 was actually 10% failure rate.
http://www.gamespot....2/1100-6215590/

When you compute in the fat one, the failure rate is 10%. The slim (which is the one I mentioned o my previous post) had a much higher failure rate, of 27%. The fat one had a bellow 10% failure rate, so the average for all models is 10%. I am unable to find the source of the data right now, but I will post it when I do.

The Philips 39" LED w/FULL HD (1920x1080) was offered this past weekend for $5900 w/18 payments @ zero interest.

Today the same model is $6199 (one payment). http://www.garbarino...9-77/2f0f990400

The so called "precio normal" is stated as $8999. Over the weekend the "precio normal" of this model was $9499, creating the appearance of a discount of $3500 versus a discount of $2800 today.

I just found a Garbarino catalog from last September and a 32" Philips FULL HD LED TV was listed at the "precio normal" for $6999 and the sale price was $5829 with 14 payments of $584@ zero interest.

There were no 39" 40" or 42" Philips TVs offered in this catalog.

It's just my opinion, but I think the Philips 39" model w/FULL HD is a relative "bargain" today, especially the ones offered on Mercado Libre for $5499. Anyone who has one of the (relatively few) credit cards that can be use to pay using Mercado Pago can make up to 12 payments at zero interest (depending on the bank that issued the card). I realize this model is probably considered obsolete in the USA and is probably no longer offered in any of the major stores that sold it when it was first introduced (and was probably significantly cheaper there as well), but how many other things (especially durable goods) have actually decreased in price in Argentina in the past six months?

PS: I still find the "upgrade " from a 32" LCD to a 40" LED TV to make enough difference (in viewing pleasure) not to feel the need to spend the extra $5000-$7000 pesos to get a 50" model. I have no use for a smart TV either, as my internet connection is through a wireless modem and my TV signal comes from a satellite.
