A Serious Thread About Food In Argentina

...Good food is only euroepan.

I agree with some of your comments, but that takes it a bit far. There are incredible Japanese and Chinese dishes, Thai soups, etc. And some pretty good North American dishes, as well - Yanqui and Mexican/Tex-Mex.

Yes, Da Gama, Columbus, Magellan ventured out into the ocean on shitty wooden boats just for shits and giggles, as European food was just awesome.
Spices was money back then, not taste, theydidntcame here, for the food.and it was in the middle ages, not now.

The spices were used tohyde the smell and taste of rotten food, same as the mexican and indiancuisine you peoplke like so much :D :D
Also because of the lack of refrigeration.
I know about the spice trade,my BA was in Latin American and Spanish Studies.

So you profess ignorance, but are happy to criticize?

Shrimp, fish, chicken, and vegetables fried in a Japanese tempura batter are amazing, and would probably be hugely popular with Argentinos. Fresh, properly prepared sashimi never smells bad.

Mexican and Tex-Mex is not by definition spicy. Most of the spice generally comes from sauces applied (or not) after preparation.

There is more to life than schnitzel - I'd like to direct you to some good meals, but you appear too narrow minded to even try them. How did you ever survive in the Middle East?

And I'd like to see you say those things about foul smelling food, bad ingredients, and "guaranteed diarrhea" to some of my chef friends. They have knives, you know. ;)
