Argentina is expensive. Really don't know how middle class here get by

Seems reasonable .. a fancy place furnished place like that in Century City with 170 m2 , would rent for $10,000 plus in LA, perhaps $15,000?
That's a cool apartment, many renters are probably embassy people in that area.

That's a super luxury apt. How many people live like that in BA? A tiny fraction of one percent?
The high price is due to that amazing naked painting. That will surely attract millionaires from LA.

in the 17 pictures, you see 5 times the kitchen table, 5 times the round table and 4 times the couches. It is showing much of the same from different angles.

In Belgium, I am spending 990 euro per month on temporary rent for a fully furnished nicer and bigger apartment with garden. Expenses are less than 200 euro. There is almost no noise there, it is near a station and the highway. It is 20 min by car from Ghent, 40 min from Brussels or Antwerp, 50 min from Bruges, 2h15 min from Amsterdam and 3h15 min from Paris. Since the quality of life and the quality of the apartment in Belgium is higher, the fair value of the apartment in Buenos Aires cannot be higher than 990 euro/1150 USD per month. The apartment is 5 times over priced. Though maybe there are fools who want to pay over 5000 USD for an ordinary apartment, so why not ask that much money.

What they are asking for and what they get may not be the same.

I agree with most of what you say, however comparing a very nice apartment in the suburbs, is not the same as a very nice apartment in a great location in the capital city. Like comparing a pretty apartment in the suburbs of NJ and a flat in Manhattan.
