Argentine citizenship for foreigners?

Well, depends. Words usually means something different at Court than at home. Continous for example, means that you keep your will of having your home in Argentinian territory no matter if you are not here. This is the simple explanation. Perhaps you do fullfit the requirements. Regards

I'm not a specialist in in immigration law but I know in July/2010 there was a lead case: Zunino Ignacio s/Petición, that established that you can't resign citizenship... Anyway check with a specialist... Good luck!

A lawyer told me that to obtain the Argentine citizenship I have to renounce the original one, with means that supposedly I can't have a double citizenship. Is that true? Anybody Knows?

Many Argentines I know personally have EU citizenship as well (Spanish, Italian, etc.) so its obviously no problem at all and your lawyer doesn't know what he is talking about...

PS I am also in the process of applying for citizenship myself and my lawyer has advised me that it is no problem at all.

Today I was notified that I won another appeal. This one was very simple because the Judges quoted their selves. So, the path is clearly open.

What's waiting time for a citizenship approval? I'm a EU national and an illegal immigrant in Argentina as of last 3 years. No visa runs, no renewals at Migraciones

I think it's not that hard if you know how to play your cards.

Some people register on a public School and they do all the procedure for a semester. The thing is that you should do it in a cicle. It's not that easy after the 1st time. you can do this as an emergency thing, but not a regular basis.
