I don't think an applicant for citizenship needs to provide an FBI report or do any more than provide the initial documents. I only had to go to the federal police to have them take my fingerprints and now I'm waiting to pay for a notice in the local newspaper when they tell me to do so.

The initial documents required (in my case): copies of my DNI, a certificado de domicilio, a legalized copy of my birth certificate with the apostille and translation, and a certificate of my income by an Argentine accountant.

in the county side, some judges don t ask for it. But even if they do so, they tell you when everything else is done and then the prosecutor opinion request for it.

Here in caba you need it for sure.

I already have permanent residency and I am very happy where I am now.

If the court asks for more I will try to provide it.

I find it very difficult to advise anyone to move to Argentina for the long term and seek employment here.

I don't think foreigners should retire in Argentina unless they have very deep pockets...and can deal with 30% annual price increases.

Unless they wait for the 10-year "crash" and then move here. Those who came in 2002/3 seem to have done very well.

Today I won an appeal regarding the FBI criminal check but I didn t have time for reading it.

Yesterday I have an owen but my client asked for privacy.

I won another 2 cases but I don t have copy of the sentence yet.

I won another 2 cases, 1 Chinese, 1 expat.

Both cases with the same judge.

The Chinese case was a nightmare with 2 appeals and here is where he was rejected in the languaje test because he didn t know about politics. I asked for sanctions for the Secretary and the decision was enacted.

This case helped to the Expat to have an Express case thanks to the other´s case appeals. He got citizenship in 13 months.
