I planned to visit mendoza. this has put me off.
but.
I have been around and I know that to change plans or waste opportunity is to let "them" win. And I could not allow for that to happen.
instead I will leave valuables with a trusted person in BA and come back here for my flight.

I just hope people who read this will think similarly.

Somehow, though, Argentine gun laws appear to be more effective than those in the US.

If they don't have a gun you can bet they have a knife. A knife is a useful tool of the trade when cutting the strap of a shoulder bag that the victim is clinging to....and can cut more than just the strap.

Guns are far more lethal, though - you have a much better chance of evading or surviving a knife attack. This is one reason why the "guns don't kill people, people kill people" argument is so ludicrous.

In close quarters from point blank to 7 yards,you don't stand a chance either way if you try to run,unless you can grow wings really really quick
