I like to ask the members which country they would move to in South America if life becomes intolerable in Argentina like it has for Venezuelans.
My choice by far is Peru for numerous reasons including stability. ease of settling in . Friendly people. Reasonably safe. and a strong reliable economy.

I would choose a second tier city like Arequipa or Cusco as excellent choices for expats .

I like to hear your thoughts on other options thank you

There are thousands of expats, mostly from Canada and the US, who live in the Guadalajara/Ajijic area and also San Miguel de Allende in Mexico. Excellent climate, lots of history, very good food. A more stable government and currency.

Yes I love Mexico and its food is a great plus. Is it easy for expats to get residency there ?

perry the specialist in doom and gloom. I didn't even want to post a reply to his constantly whining diatribes against Argentina. I'd suggest the door not hit him in his backside as he leaves, thinking the grass in greener elsewhere.

Yes and your the specialist in international banking ? Please advise us what assets you are hoping to pick up when the economy collapses?

First, though am not a stickler for grammar, the "your the specialist" should read "you're the specialist". Next, I was not an international banker. Lastly, I don't need additional assets (even from Argentina) as I have far more than enough to last the rest of my life as it has been very good to me. Your doom posts are laughable and I don't want to belabor your constant negativity but will repeat, if you don't like Argentina, leave. I've a feeling you won't be missed.

Arequipa very good choice,
As a second Choice Medellin Colombia..Some positive points over Arequipa...! close to USA cheap direct flights, Caribbean resorts.( Santa Marta) sun and sea nearby, low cost of living, warm all year round?

You do not even live here and you are telling me how I should think and express myself . Argentina has been my home for nearly 20 years but you are a casual tourist famous for making snarky comments on ba expats . Most people can see what your game is to disinform and divert attention from topics that interest many members .

My posts over 3000 in the last years have been a mixture of positive and negative posts as that is how life is for those who live in Argentina . The current economic situation is very worrying for those who happen to live here . For those like you who live in First world countries with no inflation or devaluation its a completely foreign concept for you . Since you have admitted you are very wealthy and egostical your lack of sympathy and understanding for the underdog is plainly obvious . I have a social conscience and cannot live my life in denial and will speak out always when I see injustice. What is happening today in Argentina affects me greatly as I see all around me people I know suffering from lack of everything all because of the terrible mismanagement of the countries finances . Life has so much more potential and we as citizens have a duty to create a more fair society for all not just 5% on the top .

If I wanted to leave Argentina it would be very simple for me as I have European and Australian citenzship . I choose to live in Argentina because I believe it is one of the most interesting and one of the most beautiful countries on the planet . My friends that I have here are very dear to my heart and I value this greatly .
Life is not a bowl of cherries in Buenos Aires and for this reason this forum gives us a chance to vent our emotions and wishes . Many people value this information and others may not . They can choose to disagree with me which is their democratic right . Thats the beauty of this forum that one can have divergent points of view and be allowed to be able to debate them in a democratic manner.

You again show what a moron you are by guessing what I am. I hate to burst your bubble as you might cry or slink off to your safe space but I've been living in Argentina since 2012. You do the math to figure out how long that's been. Kindly don't bother me with your drivel as I don't think this site has either a block or ignore feature.
